Birdy Bardot's eponymous debut record has won over fans and critics by conjuring a retro soaked spectrum of timeless sounding rock. Infused with vintage guitar and organ tones, these tunes hint at shared history without ever settling on a specific era or genre, weaving nimbly between styles: overdriven garage rock, go-go styled pop or pillowy soft psychedelia.
Birdy's limber vocals lead the way, as adept at delivering breathy fragility as sonorous punch. This exquisite control embellishes a lyrically savvy collection of songs, from the sun-dappled lilt of Possibilities to the Zeppelin stomp of Heart and Smoke. As much as anything Birdy proves a master of exuding vibe, wielding it like another instrument to convey whatever attitude a song calls for, whether guile, femininity, nonchalance or grit.
The 2015 Birdy Bardot album received a deluge album of the year recognition, including the universal praise of local publications and the San Diego Music Awards. Birdy is currently at work with her musical collaborators at The Redwoods music label to craft its highly anticipated follow-up, due out in the Spring of 2017.
BIRDY has been recently nominated for a 2017 San Diego Music Award for BEST POP.

"The vibe it ushers in from note one: Go ahead and put this on directly after, say, Dusty Springfield’s 1969 classic "Dusty in Memphis" during a lazy, sun-blanketed Sunday morning -- and lose yourself in the hazy notes, technicolor hues and resounding goodness." -Dustin Lothspeich (SoundDiego)
